Local Student Honored for Charity Work

Islip, NY – Members of the Islip Town Board recently dedicated a portion of a Town Board meeting toward recognizing Jake Ulrich of West Islip for his outstanding charity work in our community. Jake has devoted his free time to raising money for charitable causes that combat cancer’s impact in our area. This year Jake has set a goal of raising $50,000 for the Relay for Life event – having already surpassed his initial goal of $25,000.

“Jake is truly an inspiration to our entire community, and sets an example for the rest of us to follow,” said Councilwoman Trish Bergin Weichbrodt.
