May 21st, 2019 – On Saturday, June 8th, 2019, come be a part of the living history of Islip Town, as we celebrate our rich legacy and heritage as part of the ongoing 335th Town of Islip Birthday celebrations. Festivities will begin at 10:00am at the Islip Grange and will include historic tours, games, acitivites, food trucks and ancestry look-up. See the below schedule for additional event details.

May 17th, 2019– The Town of Islip is currently accepting nominations for its annual Celebration of Hispanic Heritage. The Town will celebrate Hispanic Heritage 2019 by honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to the Islip community through their professional or volunteer activity.


Town Receiver of Taxes Issues Tax Reminder

May 17th, 2019 – Alexis Weik, Receiver of Taxes, reminds all Islip Taxpayers, that second half taxes are due May 31, 2019. THE LAST DAY FOR PAYMENT OF CURRENT TAXES AT THIS OFFICE will be Friday, MAY 31, 2019, at which time the office will be open from 8:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.

The Tax Office, located at 40 Nassau Ave., Islip, is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2019 in observance of Memorial Day.

Summer Hours for I.D. Room

May 17th, 2019 – Beginning Saturday, May 18th through Saturday, July 13th, 2019, the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs will have the I.D. room open from 9am–1pm, to process the following transactions:

  • Recreation and Senior I.D. Cards
  • Pool Memberships
  • Boat Decal pick up
  • Boat Launch Permits
  • Golf Gift-Certificates
  • Discount Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor and Splish Splash ticket sales

    Islip Supervisor, Suffolk Police Warn of Recent Phone Scam

    May 7th, 2019 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Suffolk County Police Department are alerting the public to a phone scam targeting residents in the hamlet of Islip. Police officials are reporting that there has been an influx of complaints today from residents who have received calls from a telephone number that appears to be with the Social Security Administration (SSA) or a federal law enforcement agency.

    April 26th, 2019 – On Saturday, April 27th, turn in your unneeded or expired medication for safe disposal at Southside Hospital between the hours of 10:00am through 2:00pm, and be a part of the movement to prevent potential drug addiction and overdose related deaths.     April 18th, 2019 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, alongside Seatuck Environmental Association and Suffolk County, are proud to present the 10th Annual Eco-Carnival! Come enjoy a full day of educational family fun featuring nature programs, live animals, music, art, food, games and more in celebration of Earth Day 2019.     Suffolk County Officials Report a Confirmed Case of Measles in Adult
