As Assistant Director and Treasurer of the Town of Islip Foreign Trade Zone, and as an office operations manager for her family business, Regina Duffy is well qualified to assume her role as Islip Town Clerk.

After graduating high school, Mrs. Duffy held a variety of corporate positions, including payroll specialist for NBC in Manhattan and marketing funds specialist for Standard Microsystems in Hauppauge, where she managed a marketing budget of nearly $20 million. In addition, Mrs. Duffy has served as a supervisor and as full-charge bookkeeper for various large and small corporations.

Mrs. Duffy has been an active member of the Islip community for more than 30 years. She volunteers at the Town of Islip's hotline, for which she was recently recognized along with other volunteers during a ceremony to mark the hotline's 35th anniversary. Mrs. Duffy is also a former religious education instructor at Saint Mary's Church in Queens, New York.

Mrs. Duffy lives in East Islip with Jim, her husband of 40 years. Together, she and her husband raised three children in East Islip, and she is now a proud grandmother. Jim Duffy owns and operates the A-OK Driving School in East Islip. Her eldest daughter, Dawn, teaches Science in the Three Village school district; daughter, Tara, is a Yoga instructor; and son, Thomas, is a civil engineer living in Pennsylvania.
