Drug & Alcohol Counseling (ACCESS/ACCESO)

Here you will find resources available for Islip residents who are in need of assistance for alcohol and/or drug abuse. Services provided include individual counseling, family counseling, adolescent therapy groups, parent support groups, youth & community education and psychiatric consultations.

Human Development

This division offers a wide variety of Family Service programs for Islip residents. Services include securing assistance from other social service agencies, providing programming for teen parents, a summer day program for disadvantaged children and special cultural events. This Division also administers the Family Self Sufficiency program for the Islip Housing Authority.

Senior Citizen Services

Senior citizen services and programs are available to Islip Town residents 60 years of age and over. Services include senior center & senior club activities, nutrition programs, social model adult day care and essential transportation. For more information on these and other programs.

Disabled Services and Therapeutic Recreation Program

Programs and advocacy services are provided for disabled residents and their families. These services include a summer employment program, transportation services and disabled parking permit distribution.
